ALL students must register their vehicle and obtain and display a valid parking decal within five(5) days after the start of the semester to avoid a citation. Please click the button below and follow the instructions to select your parking area. You will then be required to go to Card Services to pick up your permit. The parking permit fee on your account will be adjusted based on the parking area selected.

Students attending KSU must make a parking area selection via Owl Express.

How to Opt-out of Parking

If you are a new student or do not have a parking decal, you will still need to stop by Card Services IN PERSON to advise that you would like to opt-out. The last day to opt-out changes every semester, failure to opt-out will result in no refund of the parking permit fee. Card Services is located on the 2nd floor of the Carmichael Student Center across from the Bursars office.

Parking Area Descriptions

KSU Parking Area Map
Area 1 – West Parking

The West Parking area includes the West Deck, West Lot, and Church Lot, all located on Campus Loop Road, as well as Lot A located on Kennesaw State University Road.

If your classes are located in Willingham Hall, the Social Science, Pilcher, English, Clendenin, or Science and Math buildings, the deck and lots in the West Parking area would be the ideal area for you to park.

Area 2 – Central Parking

The Central Parking area includes the Central Deck, Lots D and J, and the parking spaces on Cartersville Drive, which include student carpool spaces.

If your classes are located in Prillaman Hall, the Music, Visual and Commercial Arts, buildings, or Wilson Annex, the Central Parking area would provide ample convenient parking for you. If your classes are located primarily in Kennesaw Hall, both the Central and East Parking areas provide equally convenient parking. Central Parking is also very convenient for students whose classes are in the center of campus. Because of the large capacity of the Central Deck, and its access to both Campus Loop and Frey Roads, the Central Deck is one of the easiest and most convenient decks in which to park no matter what building on campus your classes are located.

Area 3 – East Parking

The East Parking area includes the East Deck and East Lot.

If your classes are located in the Convocation Center or Student Recreation and Wellness Center, the East Parking area would be the closest parking area for your needs. If your classes are located primarily in Kennesaw Hall, both the Central and East Parking areas provide equally convenient parking. East Parking is also very convenient for students whose classes are in the center of campus.

Area 4 – Town Point Parking, Park and Ride Lot

The Town Point Parking area is a park and ride lot located at KSU’s Town Point office building across the street from KSU on Chastain Road, and is serviced by the shuttle’s Gold Route. Students parking in this lot would ride the KSU B.O.B. Gold Route shuttle bus to campus. There are two centrally located shuttle stops on campus: one on the south end of the Student Center just outside the Student Rec and Wellness Center, and one on the north end of the Student Center just outside The Commons and Burruss Building. The Gold Route shuttle also makes stops at KSU’s Chastain Point location which houses one of KSU’s athletic training facilities, and the dance studio.

Students who wish to save money on parking permit fees as well as avoiding local area and campus congestion would be well served to choose the Town Point Parking as their parking option. The two stops on campus are virtually in the center of campus, making every classroom building extremely accessible. All shuttle buses are ADA compliant and fully equipped to support students with disabilities. All of KSU’s off-site park and ride options offer value and convenience no matter where your classes may be located.

Area 5 – Town Center Parking, Park and Ride Lot

The Town Center Parking area is a park and ride lot located at the Town Center at Cobb Mall, about two miles south of campus, and is serviced by the shuttle’s Black Route. Students parking in this lot would ride the KSU B.O.B. Black Route shuttle bus to campus. The Black Route makes the same two centrally located shuttle stops on campus as the Gold Route: one on the south end of the Student Center just outside the Student Rec and Wellness Center, and one on the north end of the Student Center just outside The Commons and Burruss Building. The Black Route shuttle also makes stops at KSU Center (which houses KSU’s Executive Education Programs and the College of Continuing Education). Starting fall 2012, the Black Route will also make stops at the KSU Sports and Recreation Park on Big Shanty Road, and The Lofts of Kennesaw private student apartment complex.

Students who wish to save even more money on parking permit fees as well as avoiding local area and campus congestion would be well served to choose the Town Center Parking as their parking option. The two stops on campus are virtually in the center of campus, making every classroom building extremely accessible. All shuttle buses are ADA compliant and fully equipped to support students with disabilities. All of KSU’s off-site park and ride options offer value and convenience no matter where your classes may be located.

NOTE: Students who will be residents of The Lofts of Kennesaw and wish to utilize the shuttle service to campus instead of driving and parking on campus will ride the Black Route shuttle; however, your parking selection should be Area 9 Apartment Shuttle option — please see the Area 9 description below.

Area 7 – North Resident Parking

North Resident parking is located in the North Deck as well as street parking in the KSU Place complex on the north end of campus. All north resident students, those that live in University Village, Village Suites, or KSU Place, will have a guaranteed parking space in the North Resident Parking area, unless they opt-out of parking. North resident students will be permitted to park only in the North Resident Parking areas.

Area 8 – South Resident Parking

South Resident parking is located in and around the University Place residence complex on the south end of campus between Kennesaw State University Road and Campus Loop Road. All south resident students, those that live in University Place, will have a guaranteed parking space in the South Resident Parking area, unless they opt-out of parking. South resident students will be permitted to park only in the South Resident Parking areas.

Area 9 – Apartment Shuttle

The Apartment Shuttle parking option is for students who live in private apartment complexes in the local vicinity around KSU. Students living in these complexes would save significant money by choosing this option as their parking selection. Students choosing this option would pay a low semester permit fee and keep their vehicles parked at their apartment complex and take the KSU B.O.B. shuttle bus to campus.

The B.O.B Shuttle blue route makes stops at the U-Club on Frey, and West 22. The black route will take you to The Collegiate, and UPointe Kennesaw apartment communities.
